Hi, I'm Russell Williams, a member of the Land Profit Master Coaching team. I started my career in the mortgage industry in 2000, working as a loan originator. This is where I learned the ins and outs of residential single-family financing. I decided to continue my education and earn my MBA from LSU. I then moved to Houston, TX, where I started my own branch of Benchmark Mortgage. I grew that business until the Financial Meltdown of 2008 when the mortgage industry saw a giant retraction due to tightening guidelines. I decided to shut down my branch and took a position as a loan originator inside a large real estate brokerage. During this time, I began researching Real Estate Investing strategies. While working as a loan originator, I began purchasing distressed houses to fix up and rent out, many of which still provide steady cash flow to this day. My wife and I decided to move to San Antonio, TX to be closer to our family after the birth of our two children. During my first few years in San Antonio, I engaged in residential fix and experienced mixed success. These rehabs were taking longer and costing more than anticipated and required my physical labor to keep costs down. Due to these factors, I decided to look into other opportunities, and, thankfully, I discovered Jack Bosh and the Land Profit Generator method. I began my land flipping career in 2018 and have not looked back. Overall, I estimate that I have been involved in well over 1000 real estate transactions throughout my career. Land flipping has provided the most profits while maintaining a low level of stress -a great combination! I have always been a great problem solver and creative thinker, which has helped me structure transactions that some thought impossible to close. I look forward to sharing this skill with my students as I take them on a journey to financial and lifestyle freedom with land. Life and business are not Zero-Sum games.
